If a student does not have a physician, they can obtain their health records from their local Health Unit and then work with their local community walk in clinic or contact Kingston Campus Health Centre to set an appointment.

Prior to arriving to campus, students are required to set an appointment to confirm/update their immunization status with their physician.

Students cannot start Semester 2 laboratory classes or any placement(s) without updated immunization status confirmed with the appropriate personnel within the College.

Immunizations are MANDATORY and may take several weeks to complete.

Successful students have an aptitude for biological sciences, strong organizational skills and pay attention to detail.

Students must be able to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills in order to demonstrate competency with clients and co-workers.

Immunization records including Hepatitis B immunity status must be submitted prior to the start of the program.

Mask fit testing is required prior to placement and is arranged by the program.

Students are responsible for arranging and paying for this.

Minimum CPR Level BLS (Basic Life Support) & Standard First Aid training up to date for placement.

WHMIS training must be completed prior to attending laboratory classes.

If you are missing prerequisite courses, enroll in the Career/College Prep program - free for Ontario residents who are 19 years or older.

Grade 11 or 12 Biology or Chemistry at the C or U levelДЇor OSSD equivalency options, see Admission Requirements.
